If you are in a public place like the cinema, eatery, bar, you could try making trips near the person you are interested in, and smile as you pass by.  This can be interpreted as friendliness.

 

If you finally approach the person and engage them in conversation, compliments always are nice.  You don’t want to overdo it or make them obvious.  For example, you can make genuine compliments on their clothing, hairdo, and jewelries or even in their profession. Just say something nice.

People like to know they have a good sense of humour.  Laughing at good jokes is always nice only if you find it funny.

Moreso, since you have gotten the opportunity to start a conversation with the special person, enquire about hobbies, birthdays, likes and dislikes.  These are meant to getting to know the person and laying the groundwork for possibilities of future dates.

Firstly, one of the first rules of dating is to never do it for the sake of it.  Although dating is relatively harmless, but remember you may be playing with someone’s emotions.  Dating someone you are not interested in isn’t nice at all.

 

Secondly, you ensure you look nice and are dressed for the occasion.  You just want to be noticed, not to embarrass people.

 

Thirdly, watch your body language.  About one-third of their attention will go to this.  Watch what you do.  Make sure you are not doing anything embarrassing with your hands or moving about too much.  Stand up straight, don’t be nervous, and just be confident.

 

Lastly, a significant part of dating goes to what is said.  Try to stay calm.  If you are naturally funny or charming then use this to your advantage, if not, then the less said the better. Try to engage in a friendly conversation.

 

All of these tips are harmless things that can help in your dating encounter. So, to find out if that special person is interested in you, then try paying attention to how you look, what you do and what you say to a degree, you could be warming yourself into the heart of that special soul mate.
